block.zone.stress.prin

Syntax

v/f = block.zone.stress.prin(bzp<,i>)

Get the zone principal stress. Note that compressive stresses are negative in 3DEC. If the optional argument i is supplied, the return value is restricted by vector component (1 = \(x\), 2 = \(y\), 3 = \(z\)).

Returns:

v or f - principal stress vector or component

Arguments:

bzp - block zone pointer

i - optional vector component

Component Access

f = block.zone.stress.prin.x(bzp)

Get the \(x\)-component of the zone principal stress.

Returns:f - \(x\)-component of zone principal stress
Arguments:bzp - block zone pointer
f = block.zone.stress.prin.y(bzp)

Get the \(y\)-component of the zone principal stress.

Returns:f - \(y\)-component of zone principal stress
Arguments:bzp - block zone pointer
f = block.zone.stress.prin.z(bzp)

Get the \(z\)-component of the zone principal stress.

Returns:f - \(z\)-component of zone principal stress
