Syntax

Vector Access

v/f = sel.hybrid.dowel.norm(scdp<,i>)

Get the orientation of the dowel. The orientation is perpendicular to the crossed joint. If the optional argument i is supplied, the return value is restricted by vector component (1 = \(x\), 2 = \(y\), 3 = \(z\)).

Returns:v or f - position or component of orientation
Arguments:scdp - cable dowel pointer

Component Access

f = sel.hybrid.dowel.norm.x(scdp)

Get the \(x\)-component of the dowel orientation.

Returns:f - \(x\)-component of dowel orientation.
Arguments:scdp - cable dowel pointer
f = sel.hybrid.dowel.norm.y(scdp)

Get the \(y\)-component of the dowel orientation..

Returns:f - \(y\)-component of of dowel orientation.
Arguments:scdp - cable dowel pointer
f = sel.hybrid.dowel.norm.z(scdp)

Get the \(z\)-component of the dowel orientation..

Returns:f - \(z\)-component of dowel orientation.
