Syntax

## Vector Access

v/f = sel.hybrid.dowel.norm(scdp<,i>)

Get the orientation of the dowel. The orientation is perpendicular to the crossed joint. If the optional argument i is supplied, the return value is restricted by vector component (1 = $$x$$, 2 = $$y$$, 3 = $$z$$).

Returns: v or f - position or component of orientation scdp - cable dowel pointer

f = sel.hybrid.dowel.norm.x(scdp)

Get the $$x$$-component of the dowel orientation.

Returns: f - $$x$$-component of dowel orientation. scdp - cable dowel pointer
f = sel.hybrid.dowel.norm.y(scdp)

Get the $$y$$-component of the dowel orientation..

Returns: f - $$y$$-component of of dowel orientation. scdp - cable dowel pointer
