Syntax

f = struct.pile.stress.confining(p,iend)

Get the confining stress at end iend ∈ {1, 2} of the pile element. (Negative value is compression.) Stress acts in a plane perpendicular to the pile axis; confining stress is the average of the principal values in this plane.

Returns: f - the shear coupling spring stiffness of the element p - a pointer to a pile element iend - end number of the pile element, iend ∈ {1, 2}
