Syntax

v = wall.vertex.vel(v)
wall.vertex.vel(v) = v

Get/set the vertex velocity.

Note

If the vertex velocity is set to a non-zero value, then the wall translational/angular velocities are set to 0. The user is responsible for ensuring that the wall remains manifold in these circumstances.

Returns:v - vertex velocity vector
Accepts:v - vertex velocity vector
Arguments:v - vertex pointer

Component Access

f = wall.vertex.vel (v)->x
wall.vertex.vel (v)->x = f

f = wall.vel.x(v)
wall.vel.x(v) = f

Get/set the \(x\)-component of the vertex velocity.

Deprecated Component Access

Component access by adding an optional integer in the function arguments (e.g., f = wall.vertex.vel(v, 3)) is deprecated. It remains available but will not be supported in future versions. See Component Access with Integers in FISH on the Deprecated Commands and FISH page for details.
