contact.force.from.stress

Syntax

v = contact.force.from.stress(c,s)

Get the equivalent contact force. This intrinsic takes a full stress tensor in the form of a FISH matrix or tensor and returns the equivalent vector force per unit area in the local contact axis system. In other words, the stress is rotated into the local contact axis system.

Returns:

v - contact force per unit area in the contact local contact system

Arguments:

c - contact pointer

s - matrix or tensor pointer
