data.scalar.pos
Syntax
- v := data.scalar.pos(sp)
- data.scalar.pos(sp) := v
Get/set the scalar position.
Returns: v - scalar position vector Accepts: v - scalar position vector Arguments: sp - user scalar pointer
Component Access
f := data.scalar.pos
(sp)->x
data.scalar.pos
(sp)->x
:= f
- f := data.scalar.pos.x(sp)
- data.scalar.pos.x(sp) := f
Get/set the x-component of the scalar position.
Returns: f - x-component of the scalar position vector Accepts: f - x-component of the scalar position vector Arguments: sp - user scalar pointer
Access other vector components (y, z) by substituting the component name where x appears above. See Member Access Operator for information about accessing members from data types using ->
.
Deprecated Component Access
Component access by adding an optional integer in the function arguments (data.scalar.pos(sp,<int>)
) is deprecated. It remains available but will not be supported in future versions. See Component Access with Integers in FISH on the Deprecated Commands and FISH page for details.
