zone.stress.effective

Syntax

t := zone.stress.effective(p)

Get the zone effective stress. This is the volume-weighted average of the tetra stresses, plus the zone-averaged pore pressure. Note that compressive stresses are negative.

Returns:t - zone effective stress value Arguments:p - zone pointer

Component Access

f := zone.stress.effective (p)->xx

f := zone.stress.effective.xx(p)

Get the $xx$-component of the zone effective stress. This is the volume-weighted average of the tetra stresses, plus the zone-averaged pore pressure.

Returns:f - $xx$-component of the zone effective stress value Arguments:p - zone pointer

Deprecated Component Access

Component access by adding an optional integer in the function arguments (zone.stress.effective(p,<int, <int>>)) is deprecated. It remains available but will not be supported in future versions. See Component Access with Integers in FISH on the Deprecated Commands and FISH page for details.
