block zone nodal-mixed-discretization command

Syntax

block zone nodal-mixed-discretization b <keyword> <range>

Primary keywords:

volume-minimum    volume-minimum-ratio    join

Toggle nodal mixed discretization (NMD) for zones in the specified range. NMD is used for plasticity calculations when on. This provides a more accurate solution for tetrahedral meshes. The default is off. See Nodal Mixed Discretization in the 3DEC Theory section.

volume-minimum f

Zones with volumes under value f will be excluded from nodal mixed discretization calculation. The default is 0.0.

volume-minimum-ratio f

Zones with an inner/outer sphere volume ratio under the value f will be excluded from nodal mixed discretization calculation. The default is 0.001.

join b

Setting to on will perform nodal mixed discretization across joined block boundaries. The default is off.
