Syntax

i = contact.num(<s>)

Return the number of active contacts. The optional argument allows filtering with a contact class name (e.g., mechanical) or a contact type name. By default, the mechanical contact list is considered.

Returns:

i - number of active contacts

Arguments:

s - optional contact type name (see this Figure) or contact type name
