geom.node.pos

Syntax

v := geom.node.pos(n)

geom.node.pos(n) := v

Get/set the node position.

Returns:

v - node position vector

Accepts:

v - node position vector

Arguments:

n - node pointer

Component Access

f := geom.node.pos (n)->x
geom.node.pos (n)->x := f

f := geom.node.pos.x(n)

Get/set the $x$-component of the node position.

Returns:

f - $x$-component of the node position vector

Accepts:

f - $x$-component of the node position vector

Arguments:

n - node pointer

Access other vector components ($y$, $z$) by substituting the component name where $x$ appears above. See Member Access Operator for information about accessing members from data types using ->.

Deprecated Component Access

Component access by adding an optional integer in the function arguments (geom.node.pos(n,<int>)) is deprecated. It remains available but will not be supported in future versions. See Component Access with Integers in FISH on the Deprecated Commands and FISH page for details.
