block contact compute-stiffness
command
Syntax
- block contact compute-stiffness keyword
Primary keywords:
Automatically compute normal and shear stiffness for subcontacts based on stiffness and size of adjacent zones (see Joint Properties). The average stiffness for all subcontacts in a contact is calculated and assigned. Subcontacts must exist and a joint constitutive model must have been assigned that has properties
stiffness-normal
andstiffness-shear
.- shear-factor f
Set a multiplier for the shear stiffness. The shearr stiffness will be set equal to f times the normal stiffness. By default f = 1.
- maximum f
Set a maximum stiffness. This is useful if there are very small zones that may cause very large stiffnesses.
