wall list command

Syntax

wall list <keyword> <range>

Primary keywords:

attribute    contact    extra    group    property    result

List wall information. By default, the wall ID, wall name, facet count, active/total contact count, and position are listed. Use the attribute keyword to list all wall attributes that can be listed.

Note

  • Use the model precision command to change the precision of listed floating point values.

  • The optional range always applies to walls and not facets.

attribute <keyword>

List wall attributes. If no keyword is given, then the available attributes are listed.

Attributes are characteristics of walls, such as velocity. These are distinct from properties that represent surface conditions and are used in contact models to delineate interactions.

cutoff-angle

Set the cutoff angle (an angle in degrees) for walls.

displacement

Accumulated wall displacement vector as a result of cycling.

displacement-x

The \(x\)-component of the accumulated wall displacement as a result of cycling.

displacement-y

The \(y\)-component of the accumulated wall displacement as a result of cycling.

displacement-z (3D ONLY)

The \(z\)-component of the accumulated wall displacement as a result of cycling.

euler (3D ONLY)

Current orientation of Euler angles following the X,Y,Z convention (e.g., rotation about the \(x\)-axis followed by rotation about the y’-axis followed by rotation about the z’’-axis) in degrees. The orientation is updated only when orientation tracking has been enabled (see model orientation-tracking command). When active, the current clump orientation can be visualized.

euler-x (3D ONLY)

The \(x\)-euler angle (in degrees) of the current wall orientation. See the euler keyword for further details.

euler-y (3D ONLY)

The \(y\)-euler angle (in degrees) of the current wall orientation. See the euler keyword for further details.

euler-z (3D ONLY)

The \(z\)-euler angle (in degrees) of the current wall orientation. See the euler keyword for further details.

fragment

Fragment ID (see “Fragment”).

position

Wall location vector. This corresponds to the average position of all vertices.

position-x

The \(x\)-component of the wall location. This corresponds to the average position of all vertices.

position-y

The \(y\)-component of the wall location. This corresponds to the average position of all vertices.

position-z

The \(z\)-component of the wall location. This corresponds to the average position of all vertices.

rotation-center

The center of rotation for walls in the range. This is the position about which rotations occur when an angular velocity is supplied to a wall. The center of rotation translates with the wall if a translational velocity is supplied.

rotation-center-x

List the \(x\)-component of the center of rotation for walls in the range.

rotation-center-y

List the \(y\)-component of the center of rotation for walls in the range.

rotation-center-z (3D ONLY)

List the \(z\)-component of the center of rotation for walls in the range.

spin

The wall angular velocity in radians per second. Walls rotate around their center of rotation.

spin-x (3D ONLY)

The \(x\)-component of the wall angular velocity in radians per second. Walls rotate around their center of rotation.

spin-y (3D ONLY)

The \(y\)-component of the wall angular velocity in radians per second. Walls rotate around their center of rotation.

spin-z (3D ONLY)

The \(z\)-component of the wall angular velocity in radians per second. Walls rotate around their center of rotation.

velocity

Wall translational velocity vector.

velocity-x

The \(x\)-component of the wall translational velocity.

velocity-y

The \(y\)-component of the wall translational velocity.

velocity-z (3D ONLY)

The \(z\)-component of the wall translational velocity.

velocity-conveyor

List the facet conveyor velocity vector.

velocity-conveyor-x

List the \(x\)-component of the facet conveyor velocity.

velocity-conveyor-y

List the \(y\)-component of the facet conveyor velocity.

velocity-conveyor-z (3D ONLY)

List the \(z\)-component of the facet conveyor velocity.

contact <all>

List the contacts with a wall. The facet ID, contact ID, ID of the other contacting piece, contact type, activity state, inhibited state, and contact model are listed. By default, only active contacts are listed. Use the all keyword to list active and inactive contacts.

extra i <facet>

List the extra variables at index i. If the facet keyword is given, then the facet extra variables at index i are listed.

group s <facet>

List the group names at slot s. If the facet keyword is given, then the facet group variables at slot s are listed.

property <s >

List facet properties. If no s is given, then the available properties are listed for each wall (i.e., the list of properties over all facets in the wall). If s is specified, then the value of that property is listed for each facet.

Properties represent surface conditions and are used in contact models to delineate interactions. These are distinct from attributes that are characteristics of balls, such as mass and velocity.

result

List the wall model results that have been tabulated. See the wall results command for more details.
