block.field.component

Syntax

s = block.field.component()

block.field.component() = s

Get/set the scalar value retrieved from a name that returns a vector. If the type is not a vector, this value is ignored. Valid strings are x, y, z, and magnitude.

Returns:

s - current component setting

Accepts:

s - new component setting. Keyword matching rules apply. If no match is found, an error will occur.
