structure hybrid apply command

Syntax

structure hybrid apply keyword <range>

Create or modify hybrid bolt apply conditions. The following keywords and options are available:

tension keyword

assign a specific axial tension value in the hybrid bolt element that will be maintained during cycling. This is intended as a way to pre-tension hybrid bolts. Note that this setting will override the normal force-displacement law for the element as long as it is active. Removing the condition will not remove the force, but from then on, the element forces will evolve naturally.

Typical use to is to apply a pretension force with this command, solve the model to equilibrium, and then remove the force (active off).

The following keywords are available:

active b

make the tensile apply condition active or inactive. If active, the last specified value of tension is used, which is 0.0 by default.

value f

set the axial tensile force applied to the element f. This makes the condition active automatically.
