structure node system-local
command
Syntax
- structure node system-local keyword ... <range>
-
Set the orientation of the node-local system for all nodes in the range.
At the start of a set of cycles, the orientation of the node-local system is set automatically based on the type of elements that use the node; however, this behavior can be overridden by setting the orientation of the node-local system with the
structure node system-local
command, and then using thestructure node fix system-local
command. At least two (one in 2D) directions must be given. The third (second in 2D) direction will be calculated to be perpendicular to the first two. In 3D, of the two directions given, the higher degree-of-freedom will be corrected to ensure it is perpendicular to the other two.
- x v
specifies the local \(x\)-direction
- y v
specifies the local \(y\)-direction
- z v (3D ONLY)
specifies the local \(z\)-direction
- reverse-x (2D ONLY)
reverses the current \(x\)-direction (cannot be used with the \(x\) or \(y\) keywords)
- reverse-y (2D ONLY)
reverses the current \(y\)-direction (cannot be used with the \(x\) or \(y\) keywords)
