Assert that this symetric tensor is close to the given tensor.

determinant() → float.

Return the determinant.

deviatoric() → stens3.

Get the deviatoric tensor.

diagonal() → vec3.

Returns the diagonal as a new vec3.

eigensystem() → tuple of (eigenvalues: vec3, eigenvectors: tuple of (vec3, vec3, vec3)).

Get the eigenvalues and eigenvectors of the tensor.

fill(value: float) → None.

Set all elements to value.

i2() → float.

Get the second stress invariant.

j2() → float.

Get the second deviatoric stress invariant.

measure() → float.

Get the tensor measure. This is the distance of the stress/strain tensor point at the principal stress/strain space to the origin of the same space.

set_from_eigensystem(eigenvalues: vec3, eigenvectors: iterable with dims (3, 3)) → None.

Set the tensor from principal axes.

trace() → float.

Returns the trace.

xx() → float.

Return the xx component of the tensor.

xy() → float.

Return the xy component of the tensor.

xz() → float.
