data.scalar.pos
Syntax
- v := data.scalar.pos(sp)
- data.scalar.pos(sp) := v
Get/set the scalar position.
Returns: v - scalar position vector Accepts: v - scalar position vector Arguments: sp - user scalar pointer
Component Access
f := data.scalar.pos
(sp)->x
data.scalar.pos
(sp)->x
:= f
- f := data.scalar.pos.x(sp)
- data.scalar.pos.x(sp) := f
Get/set the \(x\)-component of the scalar position.
Returns: f - \(x\)-component of the scalar position vector Accepts: f - \(x\)-component of the scalar position vector Arguments: sp - user scalar pointer
Access other vector components (\(y\), \(z\)) by substituting the component name where \(x\) appears above. See Member Access Operator for information about accessing members from data types using ->
.
Deprecated Component Access
Component access by adding an optional integer in the function arguments (data.scalar.pos(sp,<int>)
) is deprecated. It remains available but will not be supported in future versions. See Component Access with Integers in FISH on the Deprecated Commands and FISH page for details.
