data.vector.value
Syntax
- v := data.vector.value(vp)
- data.vector.value(vp) := v
Get/set the vector value.
Returns: v - vector value Accepts: v - vector value Arguments: vp - vector pointer
Component Access
f := data.vector.value
(vp)->x
data.vector.value
(vp)->x
:= f
- f := data.vector.value.x(vp)
- data.vector.value.x(vp) := f
Get/set the \(x\)-component of the vector value.
Returns: f - \(x\)-component of the vector value Accepts: f - \(x\)-component of the vector value Arguments: vp - vector pointer
Access other vector components (\(y\), \(z\)) by substituting the component name where \(x\) appears above. See Member Access Operator for information about accessing members from data types using ->
.
Deprecated Component Access
Component access by adding an optional integer in the function arguments (data.vector.value(vp,<int>)
) is deprecated. It remains available but will not be supported in future versions. See Component Access with Integers in FISH on the Deprecated Commands and FISH page for details.
