  • In the description below, the following correspondence is assumed between 3D and 2D analysis:
    • 3D volumes <-> 2D areas

Get the intermediate principal stress of the volume-weighted average of the subzone (triangle in 2D, tetrahedron in 3D) stresses.

Returns:

f - the intermediate zone principal stress
