interface.node.normal
Syntax
- v := interface.node.normal(in)
Get the normal vector for the interface node, which is an area weighted average of the interface elements it is connected to.
Component Access
f := interface.node.normal
(in)->x
- f := interface.node.normal.x(in)
Get the x-component of the normal vector for the interface node, which is an area weighted average of the interface elements it is connected to.

Deprecated Component Access
Component access by adding an optional integer in the function arguments (interface.node.normal(in,<int>)
) is deprecated. It remains available but will not be supported in future versions. See Component Access with Integers in FISH on the Deprecated Commands and FISH page for details.
