interface.node.stress.shear

Syntax

v := interface.node.stress.shear(in)

interface.node.stress.shear(in) := v

Get/set the shear stress vector for the interface node.

Returns:

v - shear stress vector

Accepts:

v - shear stress vector

Arguments:

in - interface node pointer

Component Access

f := interface.stress.shear (in)->x
interface.stress.shear (in)->x := f

f := interface.stress.shear.x(in)

interface.stress.shear.x(in) := f

Get/set the $x$-component of the shear stress vector for the interface node.

Returns:

f - $x$-component of the shear stress vector

Accepts:

f - $x$-component of the shear stress vector

Arguments:

in - interface node pointer

Access other vector components ($y$, $z$ (3D ONLY)) by substituting the component name where $x$ appears above. See Member Access Operator for information about accessing members from data types using ->.

Deprecated Component Access

Component access by adding an optional integer in the function arguments (interface.stress.shear(in,<int>)) is deprecated. It remains available but will not be supported in future versions. See Component Access with Integers in FISH on the Deprecated Commands and FISH page for details.
