block.zone.face.normal
Syntax
- v := block.zone.face.normal(bzp,i)
Get the zone face normal vector.
Returns: v - position
Arguments: bzp - block zone pointer
i - face index (i=1,2,3 or 4)
Component Access
f := block.zone.face.normal
(bzp,i)->x
- f := block.zone.face.normal.x(bzp,i)
Get the \(x\)-component of the zone face normal vector.
Returns: f - \(x\)-component of zone face normal vector
Arguments: bzp - block zone pointer
i - face index (i=1,2,3 or 4)
Access other vector components (\(y\), \(z\)) by substituting the component name where \(x\) appears above. See Member Access Operator for information about accessing members from data types using ->
.
Deprecated Component Access
Component access by adding an optional integer in the function arguments (block.zone.face.normal(bzp,<int>)
) is deprecated. It remains available but will not be supported in future versions. See Component Access with Integers in FISH on the Deprecated Commands and FISH page for details.
