Syntax
- vr = wall.facet.pointnear(wf,v)
Get the closest point on the facet to another point.
Returns: vr - closest point
Arguments: wf - facet pointer
v - point
Component Access
f = wall.facet.pointnear
(wf,v)->x
- f = wall.facet.pointnear.x(wf,v)
Get the \(x\)-component of the closest point on the facet to another point.
Returns: f - \(x\)-component of the closest point
Arguments: wf - facet pointer
v - point

Deprecated Component Access
Component access by adding an optional integer in the function arguments (e.g., f = wall.facet.pointnear(wf,v,3)
) is deprecated. It remains available but will not be supported in future versions. See Component Access with Integers in FISH on the Deprecated Commands and FISH page for details.
