wall.vertex.pos
Syntax
- v = wall.vertex.pos(v)
- wall.vertex.pos(v) = v
Get/set the vertex position.
Note
Setting the vertex position triggers an update of the wall position (i.e., the average location of all vertices). The user is responsible for ensuring that the wall remains manifold in these circumstances.
Returns: v - vertex position vector Accepts: v - vertex position vector Arguments: v - vertex pointer
Component Access
f = wall.vertex.pos
(v)->x
wall.vertex.pos
(v)->x
= f
- f = wall.pos.x(v)
- wall.pos.x(v) = f
Get/set the \(x\)-component of the vertex position.
Note
Setting the vertex position triggers an update of the wall position (i.e., the average location of all vertices). The user is responsible for ensuring that the wall remains manifold in these circumstances.
Returns: f - \(x\)-component of the vertex position vector Accepts: f - \(x\)-component of the vertex position vector Arguments: v - vertex pointer
Access other vector components (\(y\), \(z\) (3D ONLY)) by substituting the component name where \(x\) appears above. See Member Access Operator for information about accessing members from data types using ->
.
Deprecated Component Access
Component access by adding an optional integer in the function arguments (e.g., f = wall.vertex.pos(v, 3)
) is deprecated. It remains available but will not be supported in future versions. See Component Access with Integers in FISH on the Deprecated Commands and FISH page for details.
