block.gp.vel.app
Syntax
- v := block.gp.vel.app(bgpp)
- block.gp.vel.app(bgpp) := v
Get/set the gridpoint applied velocity on the boundary of a block. The function has no effect if the gridpoint indicated by bgpp is not on a block boundary: get returns 0, set does nothing.
Returns: v - velocity vector Accepts: v - velocity vector Arguments: bgpp - block gridpoint pointer

Get/set the \(x\)-component of the gridpoint applied velocity on the boundary of a block.
Returns: f - \(x\)-component of the gridpoint applied velocity vector Accepts: f - \(x\)-component of the gridpoint applied velocity vector Arguments: bgpp - block gridpoint pointer

Deprecated Component Access
Component access by adding an optional integer in the function arguments (block.gp.vel.app(bgpp,<int>)
) is deprecated. It remains available but will not be supported in future versions. See Component Access with Integers in FISH on the Deprecated Commands and FISH page for details.
