Syntax

v := block.gp.vel(bgpp)

block.gp.vel(bgpp) := v

Get/set the gridpoint velocity.

Returns:v - velocity vector Accepts:v - velocity vector Arguments:bgpp - block gridpoint pointer

Component Access

f := block.gp.vel (bgpp)->x
block.gp.vel (bgpp)->x := f

f := block.gp.vel.x(bgpp)

block.gp.vel.x(bgpp) := f

Get/set the $x$-component of the gridpoint velocity.

Returns:f - $x$-component of the gridpoint velocity vector Accepts:f - $x$-component of the gridpoint velocity vector Arguments:bgpp - block gridpoint pointer

Deprecated Component Access

Component access by adding an optional integer in the function arguments (block.gp.vel(bgpp,<int>)) is deprecated. It remains available but will not be supported in future versions. See Component Access with Integers in FISH on the Deprecated Commands and FISH page for details.
