Model Generation
A 3DEC model is fundamentally composed of blocks that interact with each other when they come into contact. This section describes methods for creating a block assembly to conform to desired geometry of your problem.
- Block, Joints and Zones gives a brief overview of the components that make up a 3DEC model.
- :ref:`Creating Single Blocks <creatingsingleblocks> describes how to create blocks of different shapes.
- Generating Block Assemblies shows how to put together individual blocks to create more complicated shapes.
- Cutting Blocks illustrates methods for cutting blocks; either to create desired geometries, or to simulate joints and fault.
- Block Generation: Densify and Octree demonstrates methods for refining a model once it has been constructed.
- Block metrics describes the different metrics available to evaluate the quality of the generated blocks.
